"More than 30 years ago, local artist and philanthropist Becky Fehsenfeld felt the triumph...and isolation...as the only female and only American working aboard a ship with an all Chinese crew. It was a pivotal year in her young life. Traveling around the world then (and now), she felt the meaning behind the Chinese proverb "All of us in the world are brothers, even the man who comes past as a traveler."
